Kniha důkladně rozebírá závažnou společenskou a politickou problematiku. Autor v publikaci nejprve vymezuje pojem pravicový extremismus a zasazuje jej do kontextu soudobého politologického výzkumu. Následně charakterizuje vývoj české ultrapravice do roku 1989. Hlavní část je věnována popisu a analýze pravicového extremismu a radikalismu v ČR v polistopadovém období. Na rozdíl od Američanů mají Francouzi a Britové - méně už Němci, Rusové, Španělé, Portugalci, Italové a Švýcaři - dlouhou tradici toho, co budu nazývat orientalismem, tedy jistého způsobu vyrovnávání se s Orientem, vycházejícího ze zvláštního postavení, jemuž se v západoevropské tradici Orient vždy těšil.
