"Nobody Knows My Name" James Baldwin (1961)




Nobody Knows My Name: More Notes of a Native Son, is a collection of essays by the american author James Baldwin. The collection was published by Dial Press in July 1961, and like Notes of a Native Son, Baldwin's first collection published 1955, it includes revised versions of several of his previously published essays, as well as new material.

  A documentary portrait of James Baldwin, one of the towering figures of 20th-century American literature, Black culture and political thought, filmed in Paris. The iconic writer is captured in several symbolic locations in the city, where he was living at the time, including the Place de la Bastille. "Korán", Ivan Hrbek (Odeon 1972)

Překlad Koránu od Ivana Hrbka je již třetí v pořadí a patří k těm nejlépe hodnoceným, neboť překladatel si byl vědom chyb a nedostatků v předešlých překladech (Čeština A.R.Nykl, stručný komentáře I.Veselého) a vyvaroval se jich. Jeho text je používán jak orientalisty a odborníky na islám, tak i česky mluvícími muslimy.
