Nosíme masku úšklebků a lží,
skrývá, co máme pod tváří,
tou přetvářkou si uplácíme svět,
tisíce úsměvů dokážeme nabízet
a zatím uvnitř duše krvácí.Proč neušetřit ostatní té hrůzy
počítat naše kletby, naše slzy,
nás jenom tehdy mohou uvidět, když
nosíme masku.My smějeme se, ale Bůh to ví,
že naše nářky k němu stoupají.
Zpívame si, a přitom tvrdě vpřed se ještě dlouho budem probíjet,
však svět se o tom pranic nedoví:nosíme masku.
